I love writing lists. It’s my favorite thing to write. After I’m gone, my family will undoubtedly find lists all over the house, tucked into every drawer and book for months and years to come. Little love letters letting everyone know what to do next.

But lists aren’t just a helpful tool to organize your thoughts and time. They are also motivational. I have a friend who’s a motivational speaker and author; I’m sure she’s quite inspiring. But personally, I don’t need a pep-talk. I just need a list.

And there’s no more auspicious list than New Year’s Resolutions.

I must confess; this year’s list is quite long. I’m not exactly sure why. Maybe because we’ve been living with Covid for two years, and I’m SO SICK OF IT! I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a change. I have declared 2022 a year of action (as opposed to the last 2 years of stagnation). I feel restless. But, at the same time, hopeful. And I think that’s a good combo. It seems like a recipe for growth.

My New Year’s Resolutions:

Get a…

Become a…

Learn more about…

Join a…

Attend…

Save for…

Be more…

BUT most importantly…

See, it’s long.

In addition to these ambitious goals, I also listed what I’m proud of accomplishing over the past year. At the top of that list is this blog. I started my travel blog precisely one year ago. To date, I have published 57 blogs! Dispensing awesome advice while learning quite a few clerical skills along the way.

However, in 2022, I doubt I’ll be as prolific because I plan on being very busy. You see, this upcoming year will not only be a year of action and growth but also (according to my horoscope): love. For all my fellow Sagittarius friends, expect to “fall in love with a person, an activity, or a cause.” That sounds time-consuming. However, do not fret, dear reader. It will, likewise, be a year of travel.

I can’t say exactly where I’ll be going. But I do know; it’s not where I’ve been. Something is about to change. I can feel it. It’s 2022 and time for a leap of faith.

Are you coming?
